Ah, Macs. A worthy purchase I’m sure. I was close to going mac, but I got a new desktop PC anyway.

Truthfully my Vista experience has been really good so far. It’s fast (my computer is finally faster than the internet), my music works, there’s a mouse and a keyboard, and it’s perfectly customizable (as in I run all the older windows programs. I can see where a real computer nerdo wouldn’t like it though…

There were three reasons I switched to a Macbook. One was that I wanted a small portable computer with good battery life. Secondly I didn’t want to get involved with Windows Vista if I didn’t have to. Thirdly, I was hoping that Mac OS X would be so much more stable than Windows that I would save a lot of time doing maintenance related things to make the software run more smoothly.

Ack. I’m so mad at Macs. They are definitely better at some things, but I’m so plain vanilla when it comes to my computer uses and needs, I can’t justify the cost of Macs anymore! My laptop turned into the most expensive MP3 player around…

It has been a very positive experience so far. The software and hardware both works wonderfully. In this case Firefox hung up and I just had to quit it before everything was back to normal.
